We have an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Coordinator to provide intensive housing management and wellbeing services to tenants living in Saffron communities. To work as part of a collaborative and professional team of wellbeing coordinators delivering high quality customer services. ​

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Carry out the sign-up process and post-allocation activities to enable tenants to be settled within their new home, providing advice and assistance where necessary and to undertake the required follow up tenancy visits.
  • Undertake, monitor and maintain fire safety checks and health and safety inspections, ensuring compliance with Saffron’s Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • Encourage and empower tenants to maintain independence and maximise customer involvement and ensure tenants know how to use any equipment that is provided.
  • Carry out regular inspections of the building to identify and resolve repair, maintenance, and security issues.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Educations and Qualifications:

  • Good level of general education to NVQ level 3, or 3 GCSE’s grade C or higher, or equivalent, to include English Language and Mathematics.
  • Full driving license (use of own transport)

Experience:

  • An understanding of the needs of older people, including an understanding of the physical and social requirements of the elderly is essential
  • To have experience of delivering well-being services
  • Ability to accurately record all occurrences, incidents etc.
  • An ability to recognise various types of support needs and how they can be addressed
  • Experience of working independently and on own initiative and decision making is essential
  • Ability to use IT effectively, with proficient keyboard skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office which must include MS Word, Excel and Outlook or willingness to learn

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Good interpersonal skills – an understanding of the skills required to work in partnership with other agencies and service providers. Tact, diplomacy, integrity, discretion and empathy is essential.
  • Understanding of the need for quality service delivery and how to meet the needs identified.
  • Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • A high level of respect for confidentiality, diversity and a knowledge of related legislation – including GDPR is needed.
  • Understanding Safeguarding how to recognise the signs and understand the reporting process.

Personal Attributes:

  • Ability to organise work to achieve high performance and the delivery of other management functions and possess excellent administration skills
  • Ability to use initiative and assess complex situations
  • To maintain a positive and flexible approach in relation to all aspects of customer care and service delivery. To have an ability to adapt to change and undertake self-development & training
  • To be able to work to agreed deadlines and prioritise own workload
  • To be able to communicate clearly with various audiences both in writing and verbally
