This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to carry out electrical installation and maintenance tasks throughout the whole of Saffron Housing Trust Properties. 

 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

 

  • Undertaking all electrical works including maintenance, modernisation, improvements and remedials to maintain all premises.  

  • Ensuring all jobs are closed down accordingly when jobs are completed via a mobile device. 

  • Ensuring the safety and security of Saffron’s tenants and properties by participating on the out of hours call out rota, as required. 

 

Our ideal candidate will have: 

 

  • An ECS Gold Card 

  • A current JIB card  

  • A Level 3 competency-based standard (NVQ) in Electrical installations 

  • An AM2 qualification 

  • A City and Guilds 2391 testing and inspection certificate - Desirable 

  • Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of domestic electrical work, including rewires, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, wiring, connection, and commissioning of all types of heating fuel systems.  

  • Experience of working in both occupied and unoccupied properties  

  • Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills 

  • The ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload 

  • The ability to participate on the out of hours call out rota. 

  • A full, current, valid driving licence. 

 

You also must be comfortable working within confined areas e.g. roof spaces, which are subject to fluctuating temperatures during the year.
