We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Development Officer to deliver services related to Development of new homes. To provide construction project management and senior officer level assistance across our business. To support the team and assist with all aspects of site activities to deliver exceptional quality on time and in budget.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with the management and delivery of targeted outcomes of construction activities including JCT Contracts, securing the construction works, to ensure full compliance with drawings, current legislation, specification and technical standards (NHBC, Building Control, Planning Conditions etc), in terms of cost, time and performance criteria.
  • Project Management of ‘extra care’ and ‘land led’ schemes including management, liaison and coordination of Employers agents, contractors, consultants and other third parties connected with the Projects.
  • Provide general support to development team as directed and using your own initiative to benefit others. This will include circulation of technical information, dealing with third party queries, proof reading and formatting documents, collating, organising and issuing Home User Guides
  • To carry out visual inspections to ensure the quality of materials and workmanship on site is in accordance with quality standards, specification and design information.
  • Manage the process for ensuring that customers are provided with the correct information/documentation, including Resident Packs at handover/legal completion.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Educations and Qualifications:

  • Educated to HNC or similar level
  • Holds a current, valid UK driving licence

Experience:

  • Experience of new build property ideally with knowledge of regulations, construction techniques and standards and specifications, development delivery process and knowledge of project management techniques to enable effective management of complex schemes.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to provide a high-quality service with a ‘can do attitude’ and is driven by a positive commitment to delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Possess sound knowledge of the end-to-end Development process, with experience of working with Employers agents, solicitors, Quantity Surveyors, other construction consultants and Contractors using a collaborative approach.
  • Understanding of planning process, an aptitude for budgetary control.
  • Able to work as part of a team and also be pro-active with the ability to self-direct and use your initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences both in writing and verbally, to explain complex issues.
  • Ability to work effectively on a number of complex projects simultaneously.
  • Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Evidence of strong project and time management skills, and good IT skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams

  • Well organised, calm and methodical with the ability to prioritise to meet delivery targets to support the development delivery pipeline.
